Courtney's Wedding Weekend

The day after my last day at school, Tyler and I headed back to CA for Courtney's wedding weekend. Being from out of town, we were invited to a dinner (Lucille's) on Friday night, the wedding on Saturday, as well as a brunch (Cheesecake Factory) on Sunday.  It was so fun to be around friends and family so much during the weekend.
A baby looks good on him ;)
We were just a little bit obsessed with Baby Dane

The Big Day!
The venue!
"Who wore it best?" Jamie & I showed up in the same dress, for the wedding :)
brother-sister picture...their relationship is a strange one ;)

Brunch!

And, one more thing from that weekend...we were fortunate enough to be there for Haylee to open her mission call (and, got to see everybody again!).  She's going to Norway!

And, a quick pic of Charlotte to end the post!  Sadly, I probably won't see her or Tiersh & Josh until Christmas :(

Last Week of School!

In between Nicole's & Courtney's weddings, I had my last week of teaching.  I missed Monday because we were driving back from CA, but I was there Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, and that was enough ;).  The kids were so beyond checked-out, and so was I.  The last 3 days were pretty much just having fun, and trying to keep them occupied.  I like to give my students a little gift for them to remember that year by, so this year I took pictures of my class, and then wrote each of my students an individual letter & attached the picture I took.  I hope it's something they'll hold onto, rather than just throwing it away when they got home.

Movie party on the last day!
For those of you who didn't know, I taught 5th grade this year, at a school very different than the one I taught at in Utah.  It has been a really good learning and growing experience for me, and I am going to be at the same school for next year.  I was given the opportunity to move up to 6th grade for next year, and I decided a few days before school ended that I would take the offer.  I'm happy that I'll have about 20 of my 30 kids from this past year.  I've never "looped" before, but I'm excited to try it out!

Nicole's Wedding Festivities

After San Diego, we finally headed to Orange County for the beginning of the Nicole & Garrett's wedding weekend.  On Saturday we had the rehearsal/rehearsal luncheon, as well as the bachelorette party.  For the bachelorette party, we had dinner at Javier's, and then went back to Nicole's house for games/dessert.
Sunday was the big day!  All the bridesmaids got ready over at Nicole's house, and had our makeup done by Jasmine.  She did an AWESOME job!  I've never had my makeup done by anybody, and it's definitely something I could get used to ;).  The wedding was at 5, in Palos Verdes, at a beautiful venue overlooking the ocean.
One of the games was writing advice, for Garrett, on a pair of men's underwear, on how to keep the bride happy.
Another game was "pin the lips on the groom"

 The Big Day!
Jasmine ended up doing my hair too, because I kind of couldn't figure it out...
