New Mexico

During my Spring Break (& Tyler took 2 days off of school) Tyler and I met up with some of our favorite people, Michelle & Trevor, in Santa Fe, NM for a couple of days. New Mexico is pretty much right in the middle of us and them (about 7 hours for us, 8 for them). We knew if we didn't meet up, it probably wouldn't happen for a long time, with us both being pregnant, and life getting crazy.

Tyler and I were a little ahead of M&T, so we decided to stop in Albuquerque before heading to Santa Fe. We really like Guy from "Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives" (we don't watch the show too often, but we really like his suggestions), so we tried a place called "Golden Crown Panaderia," and it did not disappoint. I highly recommend it if you're in the area. They bake their own bread, and everything was super fresh.

It looked a little "iffy" on the outside, but it was definitely worth checking out.

While in Santa Fe, we went to the NM History museum, walked around the plaza, ate some really good food (especially "The Shed"), did a little NM shopping, played a lot of cards, watched a movie, and just relaxed.

On our way out, Tyler and I stopped by the Albuquerque temple, and ate an another "Guy" recommended spot, "The Cube."

Got our $1.31 scoops, and they were delicious!

School Baby Shower

Last Monday, my students "surprised" me with a baby shower, after school. They were very sweet about it, but not very good secret keepers. They had been leaving hints for weeks ;) Even though I knew it was coming, I still loved every bit of it.

Rocky Point

Two weekends ago, we headed down to Rocky Point (Mexico) with 2 other couples (Brad & Court and Todd & Rachel). We had amazing weather, food, and company. The only thing that was "so-so" was the lady who we rented our condo from. She was totally rude to us when we found out the pull out bed was basically just bars. We called her to let her know her advertising was wrong, and she proceeded to treat us like kids. In the end, we got a second condo at no cost, which was great.
