NYC with Mom, Dad, and Annie Part 1

Before I blog about May, I've got to blog about my trip to NYC.  My dad had to go to NY for a business trip, and my mom & Annie decided to tag along for fun.  I had a few extra personal days  from work leftover, so I decided to join them in the big apple.  We were there from Sunday night until Thursday night, and did a LOT of fun things...here's the first portion of the trip...

Sunday night, we flew in, and immediately headed off to a Yankees game (with Bill & Audrey...Bill works with my dad).  We took the subway from the hotel to the game.  I was so impressed with the stadium, and how pretty it was.  

Monday, we started our day off eating at Carnegie Deli...the food was awesome, and the portions were HUGE.  For most of the rest of the day, we took a bus tour around the city (including taking the Staton Island ferry). 

Monday night, we walked around Times Square (Annie and I rode in the Toys R Us ferris wheel, per Annie's request), and got dessert from Magnolia bakery (the choc/vanilla cupcake was delicious).

Update on the last couple months!

It really has been a while since I blogged!  It feels like Tyler and I have been going a million miles a second around here, and haven't really been home a whole lot.  This weekend has been so nice, b/c Ty had Thursday and Friday off, and I only worked until noon on Thursday.  We've already seen two movies, and watched a movie at our place, and it's only Saturday morning.

Here's a little recap of some of the things we did in April...

I think this was the one time I had time to layout, and it was necessary because I needed to finish my book club  book ;)

We (and when I say, "we," I mean Tyler, painted our kitchen wall...I was there for moral support!

We finally got use Tyler's Great-Grandma's china for Easter dinner with friends.

My students became obsessed with tetherball at the end of the year.

Onto May...this is where is got really busy!
