Halloween Festivities

Last Saturday was our ward Halloween/Trunk-or-Treat party. We stayed until the trunk-or-treat started, since we don't have any kids to participate. Tyler wore some dreds, and I just put on a flannel shirt with boots. After the party, we decided to have a "punkin-chunkin" contest...boys against girls. We went into WalMart, and each team had 20 minutes and $10 to find the best method to launch the pumpkins (actually gourds). The girls' method was definitely better, but it took us a while (and some help from the boys) to figure it out.

Halloween Night - we went to Brad's mom's house for a Halloween party. Wendy goes all out with Halloween decorations, which makes the party even more fun. Tyler decided that our costume would be a hunter and a mounted moose head. I actually really liked it, and it turned out to be a really great idea.
There was so much good food!

I won the jar of candy/knick-knacks for getting the closest guess! And, here I am with Wendy, the amazing host.

General Conference crepes with Saagers & Evans

Shopping at Bass Pro in between conference sessions
Homemade chicken noodle soup, after conference, at the Evans
Caramel apple dipping toppings (for a "fall-ish" activity)

While Courtney was out of town, Tyler and I went up with Brad to his cabin so the boys could hunt, and I could just read, nap, and take it easy :) This was all 3 of us on the hammock together.

MIA

I've been pretty MIA for the last couple of months, and I think the reason why is because September and October are TOUGH months for us here in AZ. Summer's over, but the heat still remains (especially September). These 2 months are like February & March in Utah for me. It's the end of winter, and all you want is some warmer weather, and here, it's the end of summer, and all I want is  some cool, fall weather. It has started to get really nice in the mornings/nights, but during the day it's still in the 80s usually (better than 100). Anyway, we've tried to keep ourselves busy, and not thinking about the warm weather, so here's a few things we did in September...
(disclaimer: like I said above, September was a tough month, so there really aren't too many super exciting pictures...it was hard to keep busy, despite our efforts)

Temple date
 YW "modest prom dress" activity

Hanging out with the Evans & Saagers
Facetiming with Charlotte
The rainiest day EVER. By far, the most rain I have seen, ever. Most schools were cancelled...but, not ours :(
Tyler being amazing, and rubbing my feet
Facials, hair & nails mutual, with the laurels
Shopping for some dressers, and came upon this teeny, tiny chair...had to get a picture of Tyler looking like a giant.
