The last of our trip

On our last day in DC, we went to church, stopped by Arlington cemetery, went to Ford's Theater, and the Museum of Natural History

Arlington
The Changing of the Guard
Robert E. Lee's house

Ford's Theater
The Museum of Natural History
On our way to the airport, we dropped Jace off at his "Savior of the World" practice, which just happened to be at the DC temple.

More DC

Saturday in DC. . .

 The Air & Space Smithsonian
The Botanical Gardens (round two)
Walking by the Capitol
The Museum of Native Americans
Allie and I were pooped by this point
The Old Post Office...this building isn't used for anything anymore, but we were able to take the elevator up to the top, and see the view.
The house where Lincoln was taken after being shot.  We also took a picture in front of Ford's Theater, but didn't get to go inside until the following day.
The bed where Lincoln died
The left building (with Lincoln's face) is the Lincoln museum, and the red building is the house where he was taken the night of the shooting.
Waiting for Jace to meet up with us
We wanted to try to do the circle thing where you all sit on each other, and we were definitely successful!

Pennsylvania

After getting to DC, we went to Pennsylvania to visit Tanner & Allie for a couple days.

First thing we did was sleep in (the east coast timezone was throwing us off big time)... and then we went to some really cool caves right there in town.  They're similar to Timpanogos Caves in Utah, but you don't have to hike to them, just walk down 72 stairs, and you're there!
This was a little lake of water inside the caves

Next, we went to Lititz, PA, where the first hard pretzel was made, and where Wilbur Chocolate factory is.
We got to make our own pretzels.. However, the dough was just flour and water, because they said they're aren't allowed to have people actually eat the pretzel they make anymore.
This is the only Wilbur Chocolate store (and the factory) because they sell their candies to other companies who then make products with the chocolate.
That night, we walked around Harrisburg with Tanner.  We walked across one of the bridges, and then walked over to where the minor league team plays.  It was REALLY cold that night...

The next morning (Friday), Allie, Ty, and I went to the Lancaster market.  They've got a lot of really good food there, and Tyler's favorite is the many different kinds of milk (strawberry, blueberry, orange...)  I didn't get any pics, but we bought a lot of milk, cornbread, a donut, and a couple other things.

That same day we headed back to DC, and stopped at Gettysburg on our way.

We finally arrived in DC Friday night, and met up with Jace for dinner and a movie (Divergent), and then headed back to his place to sleep.
