More Golfing

I'm sitting here waiting for Tyler to go to our friends house for a New Years Eve get-together, so I thought I'd post.  Today we were lucky enough to see lots of family, and do some fun things.  Earlier, we met up with Paul for lunch.  After that, we got to see my parents new house in Alpine!!  It really is a beautiful house, and we are so excited for them to be in a big place with lots of space.  The kids are going to love it!  Then, we went golfing AGAIN.  We just can't get enough of the PBR golf simulator. It is so cool.  And this time, we got 17 holes in, in a 2 hour span.  Now, I'm just waiting for Tyler so we can finish the night off great.

Again, sorry for the dark, blurry pictures...

Piper's Blessing

Today was Piper's (Tom & Caity) blessing, and it went great.  After the blessing we went to Caity's grandparents house for a breakfast/luncheon.  (more pictures to come)

Sorry for the blurriness...phone pictures

The Asian Market & the Aquarium

Yesterday we spent the day with Paul, and we went to an Asian Market, which was really cool, as well as the Sandy Aquarium.  The aquarium was better than any of us expected.  They even had an open water area with sharks and sting rays, where people were allowed to touch the animals in the water (Ty & Paul did it...I was happy being a spectator).  Afterward, we got pizza and watched "The In-Laws."  I'm waiting on pictures, so for now I only have a couple.

Big H

Yesterday we went to Big H, and it was just as good as I remember it being 5 years ago (has it been that long??).  I'm a sucker for chocolate shakes, and theirs did not disappoint.  I love that their burgers are the kind that nobody else makes.  Every thing about them is delicious.

Sledding on a wreath holder

Friday was another relaxing day, for the most part.  There was one downside to the day, and that was when I went to get my massage (Ty gave it to me for my bday).  This was the second time I had to go get my massage.  The first time nobody was there, and believe it or not, this time nobody was there.  Kind of a bummer, but I got my money back so I'll be on the lookout for a different massage :)
Ty and I then tried to build a snowman, but the snow was wayy to powdery, so we decided to go sledding.  However, we had no sled, so off to WalMart we went.  There were absolutely no sleds, but there were wreath holders, so we went sledding on a wreath holder.  While sledding, we also built very small snowmen, and made snow angels.  I absolutely love playing in the snow, I feel like a little kid when I'm all bundled up and ready for the snow.
After playing in the snow, we went back to the golf simulator at PBR, this time with Lisa as well.  We stayed for over 2 hours, and had a blast.  Later that night we went to a mongolian food place, called "Mongos," with Caity & Tom and Lauren & Devin.  It was really good food, and afterward we went to Lauren & Devin's new house to watch the Jazz game, and play games.  We also got meet Lauren & Devin's dog who is literally the size of a small horse.

I got a little excited in the snow, and dove all over the place

Thursday

Yesterday we did a lot of just hanging around.  We did some shopping in the morning (for a few hours), and found some great deals, which made me really sad that we don't have a Tai Pan in AZ.  We also were able to relax a bit and watch some Modern Family, since I bought Ty the first season for a stocking stuffer.  Later in the day we went over and were able to visit a bit with Tyler's grandparents, as well as help with their computer/ipad questions.  And lastly, we finally got to see Steve & Megan, and Tom & Caity.  Oh, and we had Mountain West burrito for dinner...YUM!

Golfing at Provo Beach Resort

Who says you can't golf in December in Utah?  Tonight we went to Provo Beach Resort, and tried the golf simulator, and it was actually really fun...and surprisingly cheap.  $25 for 4 of us for an entire hour and a half.  Tyler and I have really enjoyed PBR, and have loved all the different things you can do there.  We're there at least once during our trips back.

Christmas Day

Today was super relaxing.  We woke up around 8:30, hung around a little bit, ate breakfast, and didn't open gifts until about 10.  It was so nice to take our time, and do pretty much whatever we pleased :)  After presents, we talked to Jace (who's in Guatemala), which was a blast, and then headed up to SLC to see Paul.  We opened gifts, and then headed to Les Miserables, which was absolutely great.  I totally recommend it to everybody.  The music was incredible.  We skyped my family once we got back, and since then we've just been hanging out relaxing.

Christmas Eve

For Christmas Eve, Lisa & Shawn treated Tyler and I to a day of snowboarding up in Sundance.  The conditions were absolutely perfect.  The snow was super powdery, and perfect for somebody who falls a lot (aka ME).  Tyler stayed with me for a few runs, but I could tell he was getting bored with my simplicity, so he went with Shawn and did the back side of the mountain.  He came back exhausted and very happy.  I really enjoyed spending some time with just Lisa, and taking our time down the mountain :)  After snowboarding, we ate Cafe Rio, went to the annual ward Christmas carol performance, performed the nativity with the Christensen family, and opened Christmas Eve pjs.  It was a great day, and very relaxing!
