Picture Update

A few pictures of what we've been up to lately:

1. Finally tried the frosty waffle cones...they did not disappoint!

3 & 4. Date Night...we bought each other $5 gifts (Tyler gave me the head scratcher)

5. Our free Bahama Bucks...we got the "Everest" (44 ounces) b/c they give you any size free when you have enough stamps

6. Our first time chaperoning a stake dance

7. Went out of my comfort zone and made thai peanut chicken...Tyler loved it, which made it a success

Girl's Camp

I had the privilege of going to Girl's Camp this year.  The last time I went was after my junior year, so not all that long ago lol.  I'm the laurel's advisor, and I've really enjoyed thus far.  We had 4 laurels at camp, who were all YCL's (youth camp leaders), which meant they were really in charge of themselves, which was awesome.  So, I was with a few 2nd years for most the time, and I really enjoyed getting to know more YW besides just my laurels.  I have hundreds of pictures from camp, as I was the designated "picture-taker," but I'll just share a few from when the bishopric came to camp :)

Last of CA and Michael, Gracee, & Dad's trip to AZ

The last day I was in CA, we went to church, and then headed out for a walk to the park.  It was so nice to enjoy some cool temperatures (60s and 70s), opposed to the 110's we've been having here.  I went running everyday I was in CA b/c I couldn't get enough of it.  Anyway, after CA, I headed home with my dad, Michael & Gracee.  My dad had work in AZ, so I hung with the other 2 for a few days before heading off to Girl's Camp.  Like I said before, it's been HOT here, so we pretty much either went swimming, bowling, got shaved ice, or stayed inside my apartment.  The last night they were here, we went to BJ's and got the big pzookie platter...it was delicious!  

Grandpa Don's 80th Birthday

The biggest reason I came to CA this week was because my grandpa's 80th birthday party was yesterday.  We had most of the Neilson clan there, with only a few missing.  Here are some pictures, starting with Charlotte, Gracee, and me at the apartment.  After Lucilles, my family went to Sno-on-the-Go, but sadly didn't get any pictures.

CA so far

I've been in CA for the past few days, and I've been spending lots of quality time with Tiersha & Baby Charlotte.  Here's some of what we've been doing...

Games, golfing, and a movie

This weekend we did some of the things we've been doing a lot of lately: played games with friends, went golfing (actual golfing-not the driving range) with the Evans, and saw "Now You See Me."  Oh, and we watched the Heat/Pacers game...super happy about it going to game 7 :)
