Ward Campout/Saager's Cabin

Last weekend, we had our ward campout.  It was SO nice to get away to the mountains and escape the heat for a couple days.  I think it actually got down to the high 40s/low 50s at night, which felt incredible.  Friday night was the campout, and then Saturday morning we headed to the Saager's cabin for the day (& spent the night there), where we watched the humiliating BYU game.

Lisa & Jace come to visit!

This past weekend, Lisa and Jace came to visit us in AZ.  Jace just got home from Guatemala a few weeks ago, so it was great to see him (after not seeing him for over 2 years).  It was a really relaxing weekend, and we pretty much just hung out.  The first day, we went went to Bahama Bucks, and Ty took them to Studio Movie Grill while I went to my concert.  Friday, we hung out by the pool, went to dinner at Texas Roadhouse, got blizzards, and watched Jim Gaffigan.

Saturday, Lisa & I went to get our nails done while Ty showed Jace the Mesa & Gilbert temples.  We also did Costco, the pool, and ended the night with pizza/BYU game and Bahama Bucks again :)

Backstreet's Back

Last Thursday I went to the Backstreet Boy's concert with Emily.  Tyler bought the tickets for our anniversary, but made it very clear that he wanted me to take a friend (not him ;).  I have to admit I was a bit worried about how the concert would be, but it was so entertaining.  Besides the 2 hour opening acts, the concert was absolutely great.  Their old songs, as well as new (surprisingly), were so good, and extremely fun to watch/listen to.  Their dancing was probably the best part, b/c they did the same dances as they used to do, and their bodies definitely don't move the same.  And, we had great seats, which made it that much more fun.

Labor Day Weekend

For Labor Day, we decided to head to CA.  After discovering Tiersha's apartment was going to be empty for the weekend, we thought it would be a great affordable getaway with some friends (Chris & Emily and Nikki & Ryan).

Here we are on the drive from AZ to CA.  We left immediately after school, and once we arrived we stopped at Five Guys for dinner.

The next day was the beach.  We headed to San Clemente (less crowds/tourists), and the weather was perfect.  I even got in the water and boogie-boarded...that's a big deal.  Later that night we went to the Spectrum to walk around and have dinner, and right before dinner we ran into several of my dad's siblings and my grandparents.  It was such a treat to run into family on accident.

The next day we headed (with Chris & Emily) to San Diego for the day.  We made a stop by the temple, went to lunch at Islands, drove over to Coronado Island (and rented a 4-man bike), and ended the day with the Mormon Battilion site & downtown SD (oh, and dinner at Claim Jumper...yum!).

On our last day (Monday) we headed to the beach for a few hours so the boys could get a little more boogie-boarding in.  The weather was far too cold for us girls, so we just laid out and watched.  On our way back, we stopped at the outlets and had dinner at Ruby's.  I can't believe the weekend went so fast, but it really was a great way to spend our 3 day weekend :)

Anniversary Weekend

We celebrated 4 years this year.  Can you believe it?!  Part of me feels like we've been together forever, and the other part of me feels like these 4 years have flown by.  It's been absolutely great, and I love my Tyler even more than the day I married him (and, I think we have even more fun the longer we're together).  I'm excited to spend eternity with him :)
To help celebrate our anniversary, we went up to the JW Marriott in Paradise Valley.  We relaxed, ate good food, saw a movie, laid by the pool, played tennis, and just enjoyed being together.
