San Diego

The week of Nicole's wedding (her wedding was May 18th), Tyler had Thursday & Friday off from school (totally random), so we decided to leave for CA on Thursday, and spend some time in San Diego before we made the drive to Orange County.  Unfortunately while we were there, all the fires were going on, so it was super warm, but it was still a fun little getaway.  During our stay, we went to Sea World & spent a few hours at the San Diego temple, followed by dinner at Islands (always a favorite).
Right after we got soaked on the rapids ride!

In between things...

In between trips, family visits, and weddings, we did a few fun things, as well as worked, so we could afford to do all of the things we did ;)
1. My students playing kickball...they really got into it towards the end of the year.
2. Tennis...I'm dragging Tyler out there as much as possible, even though it is getting HOT out there!
3 & 4. After school luau (for my school)...we were in charge of the ring toss
5. Tether-ball...another thing my kids became obsessed with
6. Dinner with Dad, while he was in AZ for a business trip

Shawn & Lisa's visit to AZ

As soon as I got back from NYC, Tyler's mom & Shawn came to AZ to visit!  It was so nice to have visitors, and they came right in time...just before the heat got too bad (it was still close to 100 degrees while they were here).  While they were here, we went to the pool, got Bahama Bucks, saw Captain America at Studio Movie Grill, went to a class at the gym (Lisa & me), went to Jaimie's baby shower, ate Burrito Express, took naps, golfed, ate Joe's BBQ, went to church, saw the Gilbert & Mesa temples, and just hung out.  It was a good weekend!

NYC with Mom, Dad, & Annie Part 4 (last one, I promise..)

Our last day in NYC was Thursday.  We started off with baptisms at the Manhattan temple.  I had been to the temple before, but not ever inside, and wow, it was cool.  You can't hear anything on the streets while you're inside.  After the temple, we went back to the hotel, took a nap, and bought some souvenirs.  We then met up with Dad, got lunch at Ray's pizza, and Dad & I went for a bike ride through Central Park, since he missed the first time.  Right before we left for the airport, Annie & I ran over to Shake Shack to grab a shake (we had to get one, since we were right there!).  All in all, it was such a great trip, and it was nice to spend time with family.  Hopefully it's not too long before I get back to NYC :)
