The Associate

Recently Tyler and I finished one of John Grisham's books, "The Associate." In the past I have really enjoyed John Grisham's books and so has Tyler, but this book was quite a disappointment. Don't get me wrong, John did a great job at holding the reader's attention during the book, but when it came to the last 30 pages, the story just kind of ended. It was very anti-climatic. I read the whole book awaiting this great ending, and it NEVER came. I'm willing to give Grisham another chance because right now I'm reading his book, "The Testament." I really hope it's a better book and actually has an ending. I'll let you know soon!

Here are some more photos from Picasa that I've edited. These pictures were from October of last year when Tyler and I went up Provo Canyon to get a last taste of fall. You will notice that all the leaves are still beautiful unlike now when all of nature is brown and ugly...

I'm starting to use Picasa in my Comp Tech class and we had to edit a few photos so here are a couple of pictures from when me and Tyler took engagements (with Steve in the backyard-not fancy at all). Nothing special, I just wanted to see if Picasa was easy to use.

First Presidency's Christmas Devotional

Yesterday, Tyler and I went with Tyler's brothers (Tanner and Jace) to the First Presidency's Christmas Devotional. I'll be honest, I was asleep up until President Monson spoke, and I am SO glad I was awake for it. I really enjoyed when he spoke because he used an example that everyone can relate too. His story did an excellent job at getting his point across. Afterward, we walked around temple square and looked at all the lights and watched the Nativity. It was really fun, but absolutely FREEZING! Here's some pictures from temple square...

Tyler's Birthday

Last Thursday (the 12th) was Tyler's birthday. We've kind of been celebrating it for the past 2 weeks, though, with all his family and friends. However, on Thursday, I surprised him and had the apartment decorated and bought some of his favorite snacks, which were right when he walked in .

I made him a cake, which turned out "ok," but it was kind of a disaster...

I also bought him a few presents, including a fishing pole, which he really wanted.

Later, we went to dinner at Iggy's and then to see "A Christmas Carol," which surprisingly wasn't that great...

We then went home and I sang "Happy Birthday," and he blew out his candles on his cake...

Also, on Friday, I surprised Tyler and we went to "Bravo Broadway," which was with the Utah symphony, and it was AMAZING. It was so entertaining, and fun. Tiersha and Josh went with us, and Tiersha has any of the pictures that we took that night. I would definitely recommend this show...so good!
