After North Carolina, we flew over to DC to be with Jace (we hopped from one sibling to the next ;) for a day before heading out to see Tanner & Allie. We were fortunate enough to have Jace take us on a private tour of the capitol while we were there, and while he was at work for the majority of the rest of the day, we explored the area around the capitol (Supreme Court, Library of Congress, Botanical Gardens, and I think that's it...). Get ready for picture overload.
SUPREME COURT building, which we never even really considered until Jace pointed it out. Definitely worth a visit if you've never been :)
OUTSIDE WALKING AROUND (before the rain)
LIBRARY OF CONGRESS...there are 3 of these buildings by the capitol...the Jefferson, Madison, and Adams. We started off in the Jefferson, which was really cool, and then headed over to the Madison, only to find out that the Madison & Adams are pretty much just offices. BUT, we met an awesome guy at the front desk, who insisted on taking a picture of us, and then us taking a picture of him! He was a cute, helpful old man :) When asked what there was to see in the building, he responded with, "you're looking at the most interesting thing!"

Well, that was just the first day in DC! Picture overload (& Tahnee overload, since Ty was behind the camera)!
