AZ Baby Shower

Courtney, kindly threw me an amazing shower here in AZ, and I felt so spoiled by the end of it. Everybody that I really care about, here in Mesa, was at the shower, and brought so many wonderful gifts for our baby girl. My mom also came into town for it, and we were able to get some things done in the baby's room (mostly sewing). She also bought me my first sewing machine, as an early birthday present. It's hard to believe that in 3-4 weeks, we will have a baby in our home, to take care of :).

Maternity Photos

I was up in the air about taking maternity photos, and wasn't all that thrilled with the idea, but the closer we got to the end of this pregnancy, I started to think it might be a good idea, and I am SO glad that we made the decision to have the photos. We had Ashley (from our ward) take the pictures, and I am so happy with how they turned out.
Here are a few of my favorites :)

Easter Pageant

Each year, the Mesa temple puts on an Easter Pageant. Last year was the first time I had gone (with the young women), and Tyler had never been, so we thought we definitely had to take advantage, seeing as this would be the last year without a babe. Anyway, we got invited by Brad & Court, who were invited by the sister missionaries and our friend Joe, who's been coming to church the last few months. The missionaries and Joe were able to get close seats, but we were a little further back (still good though :). The pageant really was amazing, and it's neat to see how many people are involved.

Afterwards, we were able to talk to some of the people who were in the pageant, and they were telling us that the costumes were created to look just like clothes during the time of Christ's birth/Resurrection. They even had a historian come out and help with the costumes. Anyway, if you didn't get a chance to go this year, make it happen next year!

New Mexico

During my Spring Break (& Tyler took 2 days off of school) Tyler and I met up with some of our favorite people, Michelle & Trevor, in Santa Fe, NM for a couple of days. New Mexico is pretty much right in the middle of us and them (about 7 hours for us, 8 for them). We knew if we didn't meet up, it probably wouldn't happen for a long time, with us both being pregnant, and life getting crazy.

Tyler and I were a little ahead of M&T, so we decided to stop in Albuquerque before heading to Santa Fe. We really like Guy from "Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives" (we don't watch the show too often, but we really like his suggestions), so we tried a place called "Golden Crown Panaderia," and it did not disappoint. I highly recommend it if you're in the area. They bake their own bread, and everything was super fresh.

It looked a little "iffy" on the outside, but it was definitely worth checking out.

While in Santa Fe, we went to the NM History museum, walked around the plaza, ate some really good food (especially "The Shed"), did a little NM shopping, played a lot of cards, watched a movie, and just relaxed.

On our way out, Tyler and I stopped by the Albuquerque temple, and ate an another "Guy" recommended spot, "The Cube."
