MIA

I've been pretty MIA for the last couple of months, and I think the reason why is because September and October are TOUGH months for us here in AZ. Summer's over, but the heat still remains (especially September). These 2 months are like February & March in Utah for me. It's the end of winter, and all you want is some warmer weather, and here, it's the end of summer, and all I want is  some cool, fall weather. It has started to get really nice in the mornings/nights, but during the day it's still in the 80s usually (better than 100). Anyway, we've tried to keep ourselves busy, and not thinking about the warm weather, so here's a few things we did in September...

(disclaimer: like I said above, September was a tough month, so there really aren't too many super exciting pictures...it was hard to keep busy, despite our efforts)

5 Year Anniversary

Last Thursday was our FIVE year anniversary, and this has got to be one of my favorite pictures from that night five years ago.  Every year we've gone somewhere for our anniversary, and this year we kept up with tradition by staying at the JW in Scottsdale. We shopped, relaxed, played tennis, laid by the pool, and ate lots of food.

Other August Happenings

Lip sync karaoke night for Mutual (this much attitude and sass made me maybe never want to have girls ;)

We went bowling with the Saagers & Evans, and did a boys vs. girls challenge, and the girls pulled it off in the last frame! Since we won, the boys owed us a homemade meal of our choice.

The definitely delivered! Steak, potatoes, veggies, and they even had pretzel bites for an appetizer :)

Cabin Trip

We did another trip up the Saager's cabin! We first got all dressed up, and went to the rodeo! I've only been to one before, but they're so fun (the one in Utah was better, but this one was still good :).  The next day we slept in, went for a couple easy hikes in Tonto National Forest, watched a movie, ate lots of food, and just relaxed.

A Baby Shower, the Tanner Reunion & Birthdays!

Tyler and I recently went to Utah for one of the shortest trips ever...a whole 48 hours!  We had a Tanner reunion, celebrated Grandma & Grandpa's 80th birthday, and then surprised Lisa for an early 50th birthday party (we were even able to make it for a little bit of Allie's baby shower!).  It was so good to see ALL of Tyler's siblings (together for the first time since Christmas) & other family members.
