Potluck

Last night we had a potluck with some of the guys (& wives & kids) from Tyler's class.  There were tons of kids, which made for a not-so-long get together, but it was still really fun, and it was nice to get to know some of the people Tyler spends most of his days with.

Such a happy baby!

Chipotle

Last weekend during the Priesthood session of conference, some girl friends and I hung out and did some shopping.  We were going to do dinner without the boys, but since the session is at 5 instead of 6 (UT time) we decided to wait until the boys were finished.  It was really fun to do some shopping, and we ended the night with Chipotle, one of my favorite places.  I always get a chicken burrito when I go to Chipotle, but this time they put a ton of HOT stuff in my burrito (which Ty likes), and made Tyler's totally mild, which I like, so I got to try the barbecoa, and wow, it was really good.  Anyway, lame post, but I took some pics, so I thought I'd share.

More Pinterest

These are some of the things I've tried from pinterest.  Most have been a success, and the chocolate chip cookies & oreo truffles were DELIGHTFUL!  I've made them each a few times since :)

I have several "pins" that I want to try in the next couple weeks.  One is a wall arrangement for our bedroom.  I've seen so many different ideas for wall decor, so I'm going to kind of mix them all together and try to make something.  Another is a date night idea (pick from a jar)...There are also a few more recipes I want to try.

Pinterest

Like I said in an earlier post, some friends and I have been getting together each week for "Craft Night."  We've gotten together now 3 times, and have made 3 different crafts, and they've all been Halloween crafts.  I shared the first one, which was a Halloween banner (you could adjust it for whatever holiday/celebration you want), but I wanted to share the other 2 crafts that we made as well.  First was a cute fall/pumpkin art page in a frame, and the second was a mummified "Pringle" tube.  If you want to make them yourself, you can find the tutorials on Pinterest (of course).

General Conference Breakfast

We're trying to create traditions of our own for our little family, and General Conference is definitely one of those times we want to have traditions.  Tyler's family always makes crepes for breakfast during conference, and I LOVE that tradition, so we have decided to do it as well.  It's not too much work (especially since we have a crepe maker thanks to Lisa & Shawn), and they are always delicious.  We invited some school friends over, and we stuffed our faces.  We had tons of fruit, pudding, nutella, eggs, smoothies, orange juice, etc.  It was a great time!
